Wow, lots to talk about…

Let’s start with the disaster known as the Big East.

Really everyone? Why can’t we just let the Big East die?

Boise State, San Diego State, UCF, Houston and SMU are joining the Big “East”.



Boise State and San Diego State are football only members. And really… I want to know… why Boise State and San Diego State? Why? What the hell are you thinking? We’re two years away from the BCS being up and being potentially blown up. Really, we’re less than 2 years. The Mountain West is the next best thing when Big East football dies. Why leave?! Why???????? I’m not even a Mountain West or Boise State fan… but I can tell you if I’m the Mountain West, I’m furious.

Boise comes on board for 2 minutes and dips out to save basically your rival conference? What. The. Fuck?

The best part? Boise State and San Diego state are football only members, which means they need to find another conference for the rest of their sports because the Mountain West, rightfully, told them to go eff themselves.

So now San Diego State is most likely going to HOPE to join the Big West. The BIG WEST?!? Once again. What. The. Fuck? If I’m Steve Fisher, I’m pissed. Sure, San Diego State should own the Big West is basically every sport, but that’s like beating up on a bunch retards. That gets reallllly old after oh, 20 minutes. Sure, the Big West does baseball. Congrats. You get one sport done well. San Diego State would actually be better off trying to join the WCC. At least the WCC does mens hoops, baseball, volleyball, soccers all pretty damn well. If you’re winning the WCC in those sports, you’re probably a top 10-15 team in the country.

Boise State? That’s another story. Boise State will go back to the WAC… which will be funny. And if I’m the WAC, I wouldn’t accept them but the WAC is so incredibly desperate for any legit D1 program… so maybe they are made for each other. But once again, wouldn’t you be better off in the Mountain West? Boise State does know that in order to win the big east, they might need to actually beat a ranked team in the middle of the season. Right? Did you know that since Boise State went Bowl Championship Subdivision, they have 2 wins against a ranked opponent they had less than 3 weeks to prepare for? Not saying that Louisville or Cincy is a strong opponent, but Boise hasn’t exactly been challenged by having to play back to back ranked opponents… umm, ever.

One more thing I keep reading…that Boise State wanted a travel partner for being out west. Umm… no. Football doesn’t have travel partners. ALL other sports have travel partners. Boise state isn’t going to kick it in New Jersey becaue they played Rutgers and UCONN on back to back weeks. That doesn’t happen.

Fact is, if Boise State could finish off a game and had a decent kicker, they would be playing LSU in January. Handle your busines… don’t join a new conference. This is like the kid that takes his ball and runs home, or in this case… to the Big East. Sad for everyone… and this doesn’t make any sense… why save the Big East? Why? I’ve yet to see any answers.
